hark...the retro angels sing!
Leica did it, so did Canon then Olympus did it better. Now Nikon perhaps the last of the camera greats has attempted to capture our attention with the Nikon I JI/VI. Unfortunately I suffer from attention deficit - namely I Don't Want Your Dumb Reproduction When I Can Have The Real Thing.
Oh for sure what go around come around.... and I suppose it's hard not to be digging on the retro form factor. But the real thing, now that's akin to one's love slash obsession of old two stroke motorbikes or manual typewriters.
So off I run to hug my vintage camera collection tightly. Why? Because, I don't need you in five different colors. I don't need your immediacy and everything that is wrong with the world when I can have you in all your chrome & real vinyl glory.

Regular trips to Diva (my one & only) have suitably rewarded me with a substantial collection of rings : only the chunky applied. Yes they're cheap, yes they pinch & yes...some of them are so heavy I exercise with them on... but next to my camera collection they run a close & coveted second. Thanks Diva, where you go so wrong you also make up for with enough cheap & not-so nasty to keep me coming back.

Whereas they don't actually fit your standard wine bottle they're damn cute. I found these at Iko Iko a few months back. I'd also quite like a giraffe & maybe a T-Rex.
