For an off-beat, intriqing & supremely unique 'love-story' watch the Good Dick.  Improbable at almost every turn, this inverted romantic comedy made me laugh (the compulsive, nervous, hysterical kind) & almost cry with it's sharp, succinct & not utterly unexpected ending.    Hold this film tightly & release as the credits roll.
