cape of new hope

I have looked (boy have I looked) yet the perfect cape has eluded me all winter.   Now as summer approaches my chances of scoring one overseas in a your winter my summer type acquisition seems all the more likely.

In my opinion the cape has always teetered between so wrong & so right.  I'm not keen on too little fabric or OTT fringing & please - not too poncho or too plaid.  Nor do I  think a cape should be belted & whilst hoods are hot,  never,  ever a red one lest you be eaten up by the big bad wolf!

Whereas white may not be the most practical color (they also come in red & black) this garment is certainly in no violation of the above rules & cape regulations.   Indeed it defines everything a cape should be - the only problems is Isabella Oliver doesn't ship to NZ, grrrrr.  I live in hope.
